How to Verify a Chinese Vehicle Export Supplier

2026-07-30How to Verify a Chinese Vehicle Export Supplier

The Chinese vehicle export market has grown rapidly, and with it, the number of suppliers — both legitimate and questionable. Here is how to protect yourself.

1. Check Business Registration

Every legitimate Chinese company has a business license (营业执照). Ask for: - Company name in Chinese - Registration number - Registered address - Business scope (should include vehicle export/trading)

Verify through China's National Enterprise Credit Information system.

2. Verify Export Qualifications

Vehicle export requires specific licenses: - Export trading rights - Vehicle export qualification (if applicable) - Customs registration

3. Request References

A reputable supplier should provide: - Past transaction records (with sensitive info redacted) - Customer testimonials - Photos of previous shipments

4. Inspect Before Payment

- Request detailed photos of the specific vehicle (not stock photos) - Ask for a video walkthrough - Consider hiring a third-party inspection service - Verify VIN matches all documentation

5. Payment Security

- Never pay 100% upfront - Standard terms: 30% deposit, 70% before shipment - Use bank transfer (T/T) to the company's official bank account - For large orders, consider L/C (Letter of Credit)

6. Red Flags to Watch

- Prices significantly below market - Reluctance to provide company registration - Only accepts cryptocurrency or unusual payment methods - No physical office address - Pressure to pay immediately

7. Visit in Person

If possible, visit the supplier's office and inspection facility. A legitimate exporter will welcome visits and have nothing to hide.

Lanzon International welcomes all buyer visits to our Shenzhen office. We provide full transparency at every step of the transaction.
